Montessori for Puppies
A field diary following one litter of puppies through their first weeks. Most days it records how the whelping box was arranged, what the puppies and their mother did with it, and what was changed as a result.
The interest is in what an arrangement lets puppies do, not in particular equipment. Much of it is improvised from ordinary household objects.

Different spaces for different needs
The box is arranged around Astra's preferred feeding area while offering the puppies shelter, varied terrain and stable floor space.
The current litter
The first litter documented here. The diary begins with selected material from the first two weeks, written up retrospectively, and continues with daily or near-daily notes.
This is an evolving field record, not a prescription. It shows what was tried with one litter in one household, including things that were offered and then set aside.
